no preference. vs-code works
I added `pyright` and `vs-code` — would you prefer `vscode`?

Why did Python core developers decide to "allow" instantiation of abstract classes (classes that are inheriting from abc.ABC or abc.ABCMeta)? Is it one of those, "we are all responsible adults here. put underscore at the beginning of private properties. don't access them directly even if you _can_"
Hello everybody! I was wondering if any of you dabbles in Machine Learning, and if you could recommend me some bibliography for TensorFlow. Thanks ;)
They are all good thoughts — and mostly applicable in other communities too. I guess an answer that's useful for future users is one that explicitly draws out a principle of good coding, so we have to hope that that is the way people will vote in practice
Or maybe I don't have to come up with a comprehensive draft.... and just put the last 3 messages I have here in the Meta Question 🤔
Also wondering whether CR could be inline with TA's goal of being a "library of knowledge" --- Can CRs ever be crafted so it's useful for future users?
So far I have.... "Code should already be a working solution?" --- thinking through as well what that would look like given TA's Q&A format.
Drafting a guideline for what is eligible for "Code Review" will take time because [reasons]
The side room on [this question](https://topanswers.xyz/meta?q=211) is probably a good place to chat
My thoughts on how to go about that have evolved a bit. You can thank Charles Taylor (among others) :P
Well, I'd love to discuss that (albeit not necessarily here since I don't want to deride the Python conversation haha)
I don't think you have so far claimed to be a database expert but your skills seem to be growing and branching out in all sorts of directions judging by your posts on TA ;)
Not judging from my Q's on Databases.TA.... 🤷♂️
He is a clever chap ins't he?
Aha! Nice to have you around :) We'll need a BH site here one of these days ;)
I’ve never seen that before! Awesome haha (not sure how I missed it)
So good to see you! (Well, "see" you!) I'm a bit disappointed in @Jack who seems not to have cracked your cyber-identity. 😅 Hope you can stick around, and have some fun in the other "areas", too. :+1:

I don't remember the laserkittens name, were you called something else?
Yes we can repro that. Not sure why I didn't notice it before…

Thanks for the bug report, I wasn't aware of that
I made the mistake of creating an account in an unsupported browser apparently so can’t see my PIN
> When the time presents itself (ha!) I know, right? So much interesting things to code yet so little time. 😆
Thanks! I see they also have a SQL course. When the time presents itself (ha!), I hope to follow-up with both Python and SQL. Good to know about this!
Good morning/afternoon/evening! Just wanted to share this incredible, high-quality, free learning resource on Python Data Science I discovered over the weekend: https://www.kaggle.com/learn/overview 🤓
