Prevent exact duplicate imports?

As time progresses, and more posts are imported from other sites, some will get imported twice.  

Is it possible, to create something that will track and/or prevent identical posts from being imported?

This already exists — you can't import the same post twice.

If you try the import won't fail, it will just bring over any answers that you specify that weren't already imported.

Separate each id/url with a space. No need to list your own answers; they will be imported automatically.
