I asked this question on TopTeX, where mostly I am, but a user suggested to post this on the main Meta hence posting it here again.

We love to interact with the users present here, but we know very little about them. Sometimes it feels nice to visit people’s GitLab/Hub profiles, see what their work is or people also like to share some bits of their information with everyone. Currently if we click on someone’s profile picture, we can just see the questions and answers of them, but having an optional section for the description of a profile can be a sign of a healthy and playful community.
