5 The initial syntax `\hyperref[label]{text}` that you tried was quite reasonable; however, [for some reason](https://topanswers.xyz/transcript?room=2064&id=140412#c140412), `beamer` seems to work better with `\hyperlink{label}{text}`, which is not the normal way to use `\hyperlink` (see [here](https://tex.stackexchange.com/q/364526/73317) for instance).

It requires knowledge about two `pgfparser`-internals that need to be restored at some point (if we don't do this we might get an `undefined control sequence` error or undefined behaviour if another parser was run before).

17 This is slight variation of [Rmano's nice answer](https://topanswers.xyz/tex?q=1557#a1809), merely for fun. I was wondering whether it is possible to steer the keys of `siunitx` with pgf keys. It is possible, but unless I am missing something basic one has to be a bit careful. (There are definitely improvements possible.) The command created here is `\Formula`, which takes one mandatory argument, the function that is to be parsed. And then there are options, which simultaneously allow one to steer `siunitx` stuff and pgf options. One can add `siunitx` keys with `si+={...}`. It does support things like `\Formula[si+={round-precision=4,math-rm=\mathtt}]{binom(1,2,3)}` which contain formatting macros like `\mathtt`. This works by copying the token mechanism of pgf keys. The parsed results also get remembered because sometimes one uses random numbers at some stage, and the subsequent results depend on the value of the random number. For instance, `StoredResult(2)` yields the result of the next-to-last computation. As usual, the rationale of using pgf keys here is to make the macro upgradable without losing backward compatibility.

13 I use the `declare function` a lot for my texts for students (especially exams, in order to easily create variants). The precision and range of the calculation is often a problem, so that I have to pre-scale units (forget about going with 46e-6 or things like that); having the same fuctionality in `l3fp` would be great). But alas, it's still very handy!

11 I'm not sure if any of my suggestions is useful. Yes, you can store elements of equations in pgf keys, and this can make a lot of sense because of name space limitations. You can also "learn" and repeat combinations, but this affords global styles. Unfortunately, I was unable to get satisfactory results in align environments generated by the `/.list` key handler, but if you are willing to use a "refined" list handler this works, too.

6 I think it is a very good idea to use pgf keys for that. Basically you are asking to create your own theme such that the options get processed via pgf. The following is a prototype. It writes your theme file via `filecontents` but obviously you can just create a separate file. In particular, you won't need the preamble in every document, just copy the `beamerthemeJeT.sty` somewhere where LaTeX finds it. You can then say
