I agree with @JouleV. There is no need of English on the front page of टेक्-मराठी, but we can have it on the home page of our site.

Personally I would suggest an English description on the front page for all foreign language communities, let them be in French, Gaelic or whatever, simply because the language used on the front page is English. The people scanning the list of available communities might not all be the target audience for a foreign language community, but they might find it interesting to see which communities exist.

Perhaps in the future, when the number of active communities is sufficiently high, we can display something like "TeX communities in other languages: टेक्-मराठी, blah blah". That will be the best case.

I think that if any English description is to be added, it should only be put to a `title` HTML attribute. The familiarity of the sites' favicons and/or color schemes will be IMHO enough for the viewers.

I don't think this is a good idea though. If a French-speaking site is launched, we won't add an English description for it on the main page, will we? In [StackExchange](https://stackexchange.com/sites), everything is shown in the original language, so there are some Japanese and Russian titles that I don't understand a word :), and I prefer that. My opinion is like this: if you don't understand the site name, you aren't qualified to participate in the site :)

@Jack  Tiny suggestion for the front page https://topanswers.xyz/ : Maybe it would good to add an English description to `टेक्-मराठी` so other users will know what it is about and maybe  this gives them ideas of what communities in their own language they might want

I think Indian flag might be misleading. Can you write `लाटेक्` on the normal black hat, instead of TeX? Use font [Shobhika](https://ctan.org/tex-archive/fonts/shobhika?lang=en) as it is the font set for the community.

As I understand it the site is 100% about TeX, and not about India of the Marathi language. It is a Marathi language version of TeX.TA.

Agreed. While this looks nice, it can be misleading: one can say the site is about India or the Marathi language like [English.SE](https://english.stackexchange.com), not TeX.

This is great news. But I hope the favicon is changed (a bit), how about a differently coloured top hat? The current situation is pretty confusing for me with the quick-navigation of the site.
