3 Well, that's a NULL _value_ not the the string `'null'`. You need to just set the value to an empty string. Calling `replace()` on a NULL value, won't change anything. The replace() on the string `null` doesn't really make sense either. You can combine both conditions:

3 Well, you ask it to check `part_id`, don't you, and it's not a part of your index, so the row has to be accessed.

6 If the words in your case are always going to be separated by the same character (like a space, for instance), you could try using the [`split_part()`](https://www.postgresql.org/docs/current/functions-string.html#id-1.5.8.10.7.2.2.31.1.1.1) function instead of regular expressions.
