The `perpage` package, `\MakeSorted` specifically, seems to be useful for fixing floats so their counters would be sorted according to the order of the floats in the PDF, as opposed to order in the TeX source.

The KOMA-Script docs don't mention the `perpage` package, however, so I'm not sure whether combining the two packages may lead to unexpected subtle errors. Besides, I'm not yet familiar enough with KOMA-Script, so I wonder whether KOMA-Script perhaps has its own facilities that would make `perpage` unnecessary?
